Trip Overview

Langtang Valley Biking is an amazing ride along the trail of devastated land by an earthquake in 2015. Langtang Valley is the third popular trekking destination of Nepal after Annapurna and Everest region. Situated to the north of Kathmandu Valley, it borders Tibet from the south. It is easily accessible trekking destination from the capital. It is shortest and quickest path to experience the unique sight of beautiful mountains and glaciers of Nepal. You will visit UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu. The next day, you will have a fantastic ride to Syabrubesi, experiencing the off-road ride. Then we will follow the lower region of Langtang valley to Kyangjin Gompa. There you will also glance nearly to the sunrise views over the Langtang range. Cheering through trails on the mountain is not just what this tour offers you, it also gives you a chance to see the Langtang village, which was devasted by the catastrophic earthquake in the year 2015. Adding to this, you will also experience the enriched culture of people of Langtang Valley and mesmerized by their culture.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Arrive in Kathmandu, and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city and preparing for your biking trip.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,085ft) – Bike (2-3 hours) Take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the biking trip. Begin your biking adventure by following the Langtang River through beautiful valleys and forests.

Day 3: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m/7,808ft) – Bike (4-5 hours) Today, the trail leads you through traditional villages and lush forests. Enjoy stunning views of the Langtang range as you make your way to Lama Hotel.

Day 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m/11,253ft) – Bike (4-5 hours) The trail today takes you through beautiful rhododendron forests and past traditional Tamang villages. Arrive at Langtang village, a traditional Himalayan village with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 5: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m/12,697ft) – Bike (3-4 hours) Today’s trail takes you through beautiful meadows and past yak pastures before reaching Kyanjin Gompa, a Buddhist monastery set against the backdrop of stunning peaks.

Day 6: Kyanjin Gompa – Rest day Take a rest day in Kyanjin Gompa to explore the local area and acclimatize to the altitude. Visit the monastery, hike to nearby viewpoints, or simply relax and take in the stunning views.

Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel – Bike (5-6 hours) Descend back down the trail towards Lama Hotel, enjoying stunning views of the surrounding peaks and landscapes.

Day 8: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi – Bike (4-5 hours) Finish your biking trip by returning to Syabrubesi, where you can celebrate the end of the journey with a delicious meal and stunning views of the Langtang range.

Day 9: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu Take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, where you can relax and explore the city for the rest of the day.

Day 10: Departure from Kathmandu Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or onward travel.
